How can I contact you?

I can be reached for order inquiries via email by using the "contact" button on my navigation bar.  I can also be reached through a direct message in Twitter and Facebook. Links to both social medias can be found on the top of the store screen. Because my studio hours vary, I am not presently set up to take phone orders.

How do I place an order? Where is your shopping cart?

The Cary Hairbows storefront is an informational landing page. Since the options for custom accessories are endless, it was too cumbersome to continue my large website equipped with shopping cart. The easiest and fastest way to place a Cary Hairbows order is to: (1) contact me via email (see "contact" button above) with your product inquiry.  I will promptly reply within 24 hours (usual less) so we can further discuss details on your order (2) This storefront does not have a shopping cart since a gallery look book is used instead of actual product pages. 

Once we discuss and firm up order details, I will send an invoice through PayPal. Communication is key, so please be checking your email account daily for any questions or updates I might have while creating your order.

Payment method? 

All invoices are generated and then sent through PayPal. Cary Hairbows will never ask for or handle any confidential credit card information. Once the invoice is paid by the buyer through PayPal, the order will then be shipped to the confirmed address noted in the PayPal checkout receipt. 

Do you have bows in stock? 

No, all items are handmade to order since every accessory is tailored to the needs of my customers in regard to size, style, color, clip, etc.

Where can I see your work?

A gallery look book is available through Flickr (see "gallery" tab on navigation bar) and through the Cary Hairbows Facebook album. 

Can I see the work done on my custom order before you ship?

Absolutely! This is routinely done for all custom orders. Once a custom order is placed, I am in close contact to further discuss order details and supply pictures of the finished product for customer approval prior to shipping.


What are your bow sizes?


Our made-to-order hairbows can be tailored to meet your needs and are available in the following sizes based on width of bottom bow: 

Small (toddler): 3" to 3-1/2" wide     Medium: 3-1/2"-4" wide     Large: 4" to 4-1/2" wide        Jumbo: 5" wide


What are the clips that you use?

I use only durable, high quality hardware (alligator clips or spring barrettes). The customer selects the clip type. On ladies clips and bridal accessories, I typically use alligator clips with "teeth." Some of my bows, like cheer streamers, are mounted to a thick elastic "pony-o" band.


Where can I find color swatches?

I have a link to a solid grosgrain and satin color guide on the navigation bar above. With custom orders, I typically match the outfit or occasion to the vast supply of ribbon in my studio. Please feel free to ask if you need particular prints or colors. With custom orders, once we start to discuss order details, it is best to supply a snapshot of the outfit being matched.

Do you seal your ribbons?

All ribbon ends are meticulously v-trimmed and heat sealed for long lasting wear.

How will my order be shipped?

I ship all accessories via USPS Priority mail with delivery confirmation. Price depends on the weight of the shipment and the shipping zone based on zip code.  All orders are beautifully wrapped like a gift and packaged with utmost care.

How long will it take to receive my order?

I typically ship within one week of receiving your order, but this depends on the number of items being purchased. Even prior to invoicing my customers, I will update on my current lead time. Expect at least a 14 day lead time during busy holidays and back-to-school times. If I need to order ribbon or a custom clay topper prior to making the custom bow order, then please allow up to 14 days prior to shipping. 

I will be in touch with pictures of the custom order and an anticipated shipping date once the order is being finished. 

Please allow ample time for the order to be created and arrive before the needed event (it is not realistic to place a Christmas order a week prior and expect it to arrive on time). It is best to be upfront about your timeframe.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, I sure do! Please contact me to discuss (use "contact" button in navigation bar above).

Why did you change your store site to a single landing page?

I had a lot of traffic through my original web store but since the majority of the orders are custom, it was impossible to list items because of the endless possibilities in regard to bow size, style, clips, color, etc. This landing page works best--allows me to be in contact with the buyer to discuss every aspect of the custom order. Believe it or not, a landing page is more efficient and allows for personalization with your specific needs. 

**if clicking on any tabs in the navigation bar at the top of the store home page, please note that you will need to use the back button to click back to the home page. I have not yet figured out how to remedy this inconvenience (sorry).

Do you accept returns?

After the customer approves pictures of the finished custom product, the sale is final unless the error is on my end. Being that the accessory is used in the hair, I cannot accept order returns due to health/hygiene concerns. I cannot accept returns because of  customers changing their mind or because a photo shoot or event was cancelled. 

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, Cary Hairbows ships to domestic USA and to Canada.
